About me

I was born with a passion for travel. From an early age, I’ve been a wanderer, following my fancy.  For example, I was 5 or 6 years old when my parents took me to a company picnic at an amusement park.  A string band marched by. I enjoyed the music so much that I followed the band around the park. “Where were you?” my concerned parents exclaimed when I returned to our picnic table, “You were lost!” I was NOT lost. I was following the band.

Photography became another passion a few years later, when my father gave me my first camera. It was his first camera.  My initial images were black and white photos of family gatherings captured on 120 film.  I soon graduated to pictures of placed visited on trips with my Girl Scout troop. As a young adult, I used a disc camera for a couple years until my father gave me my first 35mm film camera as a birthday present.

These days, I use digital cameras. My current cameras are a full frame Sony A7C and a Panasonic Lumix DC-ZS200. Whenever time and my budget allow, I follow my twin passions for travel and photography.

I am also a curriculum developer/instructional designer by trade. Work samples
